Enter Evolve! 2025 – a prestigious, international business simulation competition for schools, colleges, and universities around the world.

Evolve! 2025 is a prestigious international business simulation competition where students represent their schools, colleges, and universities in a dynamic, team-based challenge.

Sponsored by Genio and hosted by the team at SimVenture, the competition is completely free to enter and designed to highlight the entrepreneurial and business talent nurtured within your institution.

Each institution can nominate up to 5 teams of 2-4 students, who will compete internationally using the world-class business simulation, Evolution. All participating students will receive their own license to the software for the duration of the competition.

In 2024, more than 140 students from 8 countries took part. With your support, we’re aiming to make Evolve! 2025 even bigger and more impactful than ever before. This is an excellent opportunity to promote real-world skills development, encourage international engagement, and raise the profile of your institution.

Prizes include: a £2,000 prize fund thanks to our sponsors at Genio, certificates for all participants, trophies and free Evolution licenses for the top three institutions, and the global recognition of being crowned Evolve! 2025 Global Champions!

About Evolve! 2025

The competition runs entirely online. Each participating team will manage and build a virtual bicycle company using our world-class business simulation, Evolution.

Evolution gives learners the freedom to formulate and execute a business strategy, by planning and making decisions across a wide range of departments, including: Operations, Marketing, Finance, Production, Sustainability, and more.

Little is left to chance and tough competition and changing markets require users to constantly analyse, think and review decisions.

All Evolve! 2025 participants will be given access to the business simulation the week before the competition start date so they can familiarise themselves with the software.

The official competition will run between 27th – 30th October 2025, with the top three winning teams being announced on Monday, 3rd November 2025.

Student team entries must be supported by a staff representative at the learning institution (School, University or College).

Each team must:

  • Have a named staff representative at your recognised learning institution support your teams’ application to participate on behalf of your school, university or college.
  • Register to compete via the official SimVenture webpage here.
  • Include between 2 to 4 named students or recent graduates.
  • Only include students who are registered to study at the named learning institution or who have graduated within 12 months at the time of entry.
  • Agree to the rules and acknowledge that the Judges’ decisions are final.
  • Agree to the fact that a maximum of 1 team from any one education institution will be crowned a winner.
  • Agree to social media communication and promotion.
  • Where participants are under 18 years of age, by entering this competition they represent and warrant to us that their parents/guardians have consented to their entry and to these Rules, which they have read. Proof of age and identity may be required.
  • The school/university/college must advise on how winning prize money is distributed.

You do not need to have prior business experience or knowledge to enter. All are welcome!

As the competition is run online, you can be anywhere in the world as long as you have access to a computer with internet.

The competition is completely free to enter, however participating student teams must have a staff representative to support their application.

Please note there is a maximum of 5 teams per education institution that can be entered into Evolve! 2025.

Prizes

Thanks to our wonderful sponsors at Genio, we are offering a prize pool of £2,000 for our winners. This is broken down into:

1st Place

£1,000 + Trophy + Certificates + 60 Evolution Licenses

2nd Place

£600 + Trophy + Certificates + 30 Evolution Licenses

3rd Place

£400 + Plaque + Certificate + 10 Evolution Licenses

Digital certificates will also be provided to all participants that complete the completion.

Evolution licenses provided as prizes are valid for 1-month from date of first use and will expire no later than 31st July 2026. These are licenses for the institutions that the winning student teams represent.
