Sponsored by Glean and hosted by our team at SimVenture, Evolve! 2024 is a prestigious business simulation team competition for universities and colleges around the world.

Participating universities and colleges can enter up to 5 teams of 2-4 students that will compete internationally using the world-class business simulation, Evolution. Every participating student will receive their own Evolution software license for the duration of the competition.

While all students will have the opportunity to compete and develop their business knowledge and skills, the winning three teams will be rewarded a share of £2,000, a coveted plaque for their school, and will be named the Evolve! 2024 Global Champions.

About Evolve! 2024

The competition will run entirely online. Each participating team will have to manage and build a virtual bicycle company using our world-class business simulation, Evolution.

Evolution gives users the freedom to formulate and execute a business strategy, by planning and making decisions across a wide range of departments, including Operations, Marketing, Finance, Production, Sustainability, and more.  Little is left to chance and tough competition and changing markets require users to constantly analyse, think and review decisions.

All Evolve! 2024 participants will be given access to the business simulation a week prior to the competition start date so they can familiarise themselves with the software.

The official competition will run between 14th – 18th October 2024, with the top three winning teams being announced on Monday, 21st October 2024.

Student team entries must be supported by a staff representative at the learning institution (University or College).

Each team must:

  • Have a named staff representative at your recognised learning institution (University or College) support your teams’ application to participate on behalf of your university or college
  • Register to compete via the official SimVenture webpage here
  • Include between 2 to 4 named students or recent graduates
  • Only include students who are registered to study at the named learning institution or who have graduated within 12 months at the time of entry
  • Agree to the rules and acknowledge that the Judges’ decisions are final
  • Agree to the fact that a maximum of 2 teams representing a single institution can reach the final
  • Agree to social media communication and promotion
  • Where participants are under 18 years of age, by entering this competition they represent and warrant to us that their parents/guardians have consented to your entry and to these Rules, which they have read. Proof of age and identity may be required.
  • The university/college must advise on how winning prize money is distributed

You do not need to have prior business experience or knowledge to enter. All are welcome!

As the competition is run online, you can be anywhere in the world as long as you have access to a computer with internet.

The competition is completely free to enter, however participating student teams must have a staff representative to support their application.

Please note there is a maximum of 5 teams per education institution that can be entered into Evolve! 2024.
