New – Idea Generation Feature added to Validate
Take a look at this latest addition to the platform…
Discover what SimVenture Validate includes
SimVenture Validate is our online learning solution allowing users to generate new entrepreneurial ideas and test their validity.
Validate now includes 2 distinct parts. The ‘Ideate’ section of the platform (see film above) helps users to generate new ideas from scratch and get feedback. The Validate section of the platform allows users to plan and test out ideas more robustly and create an online Business Model Canvas.
Ultimately, using step-by-step support and with the help of an engaging interface users generate their own online Business Model Canvas ‘Portfolio’ which when complete can be shared with trainers, tutors and instructors as a link or in PDF format.
Use this section of our site to discover all the key features of our online Business Model Canvas generator.
Getting started with SimVenture Validate
SimVenture Validate provides people with the means to develop and test any entrepreneurial idea. Once users know the creative idea they want to test, they label their work and simply start by answering questions within the various sections of the system.
Questions are not only straightforward but also guide the user to think through their idea in a little more detail. As users answer questions so the online Business Model Canvas Portfolio is populated with relevant information. At any point users can go back and alter information they have entered.
For more information, watch the ‘Getting Started’ short video on this website. This film shows people how they can apply their work on the platform.
Getting started by answering questions about a creative idea allows the user to develop their initial thinking and record key information within the system.
The next stage and thus key feature of SimVenture Validate is the testing section. The testing feature automatically highlights assumptions the user may have made in any of the sections and then leads them through a process to check those assumptions.
From deciding whether the assumption is critical, through to planning, proof and validated results, the platform provides users with the means to check all their thinking and work in a robust manner. Typically, completing the testing section as part of the preparation of the online Business Model Canvas Portfolio means getting out of the classroom.
For more information, watch the ‘Getting Test’ short video on this website. This film shows people how they can check their work using the platform.
Online Business Model Canvas Portfolio
Having answered questions about their business idea and tested assumptions, users are well on the way to creating their own ‘Portfolio’ of work. The Portfolio is automatically populated with information the user enters and its design mirrors the setup of the Business Model Canvas.
Easy to view and use the Portfolio includes the following 10 sections:
- Customer Segments
- Value Propositions
- Get Keep Grow
- Key Activities
- Key Resources
- Key Partners
Finished Portfolio work can be exported via a link or in PDF format. For more information, watch the ‘Portfolio’ short video on this website. The film shows how finished work is presented on the platform.
To support teachers and trainers using Validate in the classroom (or as part of a distance learning program) the platform includes higher level on-line administration functionality.
Working as an ‘Educator’ or ‘Administrator’, teachers and trainers can setup and organise classes and users remotely. The system makes it easy to communicate with people using the system and also view how individuals are using the platform at any moment in time.
Being able to view user work and receive completed Portfolio links and PDFs makes it easy to assess work.
Have a look at the two short films on this website to learn how the ‘Educator’ and ‘Admin’ functions work within Validate.
Other features within the Validate platform include a Chat function (see short video on this site) and user Help and Guidance within the system.
We are continually working to update Validate and typically only add features in response to user requests. If you have any suggestions or feedback for the team please get in touch. We would be delighted to hear from you.
